City Highlights

Gritty but glamorous, Buenos Aires mixes vibrant Latino spirit with faded European grandeur and is a fascinating city brimming with attractions: Prime, juicy steaks, big, bold wines and sensational ice-creams for starters; tango dancing, that sensual and highly entertaining strut, which can be watched in countless venues across town and heaps of bars, clubs and live music venues for late-night revellers. Like New York, this is a city that hates to sleep! Tucked amongst the concrete towers, you'll also find grand, crumbling palaces; in other areas, amazing street art. Not forgetting the occasional parade of football fans chanting in triumph. .

Culture & History

Top treasures include the extravagant tombs and mausoleums of Cementerio de la Recoleta and the beautiful, baroque-style, altars of Basilica de Nuestra Senora del Pilar. Outside the cemetery gates, you'll find a weekend market laden with handmade crafts. Meanwhile, galleries worth noting include Museo Nacional de Arte Decorativo, overflowing with exquisite pieces; Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes for fine Argentinian art and Centro Cultural La Recoleta, with its mini science museum. A modern icon of the city's landscape is a giant flower sculpture of shining steel, its petals opening at dawn and closing at dusk. All these and more on your hotel's doorstep!
